Big Willie and Ben Dover!

28mm Westphalia Miniatures........ 42nd Highlanders...The Black Watch

Done for a bit of fun.........maybe give attacking French columns a minus on the moral check if these guys are deployed against them?

Andy and I

I have been painting for Andy Grubb of Grubby Tanks/ Kelly's Hero's / and lately Britannia Miniatures, for several years now. It all started after a conversation in a curry house, after several Cobras, during Warfare at Reading...... I think Andy had just released his 20mm Kelly's Hero's fallschirmjäger and the conversation went something like:

Me: Andy your figures are great but your displays on the stand are ......****, nothing is painted!

AG : Your point is....?

Me: Give me a set of the Paras to paint up...... If you like them I will paint some more for you....

AG: How much will this cost me?

Me: We can talk about that if you like the figures............

AG: Ok........

Several years later the stand now looks like this and the rest is history.......

Salute 2013

A fine figure of a man!

Andy never did get back to me about the price.....;-)

Well over 1000 figures and countless vehicles across 20mm and 28mm......(conservative total!) painted for the stand.....

28mm Chasseur a Cheval of the Guard

Finished the duty squadron of Britannia Miniatures 28mm Chasseur a Cheval....... These will go onto the trade stand at Sheffield to publicise Britannia's 28mm Napoleonic range. This range is not generally taken to shows due to space/ weight constraints, so if you want to get hold of some let Andy know before the show so he can pack them!

Starting Off

Well starting to put together a blog which will show some of the figures/ units that are passing beneath my brush........we will be looking at the following over the next few weeks....

28mm Jacobites from Front Rank...... Continuation of my Culloden Project
28mm Various British and French for my Funtos project 1811

Various commissions for Grubby Tanks.... Napoleonic , Malayan Emergency, Crimean to name but three........

So now to work out how to post pictures.......

28mm Britannia Miniatures - Chassuer a Cheval of the Guard, Duty Squadron - has it worked?
