Two points of view.....28mm Britannia Miniatures

Been a while but finally getting some projects back online......

Made it to Devizes last weekend and met up with Andy......managed to get hold of the rest of the French Cavalry that needs painting and also got the heavies and British square together.....albeit short 4 figures

So here we have the same thing from a couple of different perspectives..... Firstly the British view....

28mm Britannia Vikings - WIP

"AD. 793. This year came dreadful fore-warnings over the land of the Northumbrians, terrifying the people most woefully: these were immense sheets of light rushing through the air, and whirlwinds, and fiery dragons flying across the firmament. These tremendous tokens were soon followed by a great famine: and not long after, on the sixth day before the ides of January in the same year, the harrowing inroads of heathen men made lamentable havoc in the church of God in Holy-island, by rapine and slaughter." 

Entry for the year 793 in the Anglo Saxon chronicle.

The generally accepted date for the Viking raid on Lindisfarne is in fact 8 June, so I thought these were appropriate. There are another 7 figures to finish this week and then a scenic base to work on.....

"A furore Normanorum, libera nos Domine" (From the fury of the north-men, God deliver us.)

28mm British Napoleonic Infantry

Something that hasn't seen light of day for a while...... Britannia Miniatures British Infantry..... Down in the catalogue as Waterloo..... These figures can be used from 1812 onwards as they have the Belgic  shako.

Fully 28mm tall they have a certain character to them and take the paint well.....

28mm Crimean British Artillery - Britannia Miniatures

Something different today...... 28mm British gunners with a long 9pdr from Britannias Crimean range. This range is not usuall carried to show due to space/ weight restrictions so if you want to view the range please contact Andy and let him know.

28mm Chasseur a Cheval of the Guard

Finished the duty squadron of Britannia Miniatures 28mm Chasseur a Cheval....... These will go onto the trade stand at Sheffield to publicise Britannia's 28mm Napoleonic range. This range is not generally taken to shows due to space/ weight constraints, so if you want to get hold of some let Andy know before the show so he can pack them!
